Patrick Coghlan is the CEO of CreditorWatch, Australia’s only dedicated B2B credit reporting bureau. In 2010, he became one of the three founding employees of CreditorWatch, and since then, has helped establish it as one of the most innovative and fastest-growing data companies in the country.
Coghlan’s knowledge and experience have led him to become an industry thought leader, regularly presenting at conferences and providing commentary and insights to the media. His leadership qualities have enabled him to play a key part in developing CreditorWatch’s values and culture, for which the company has won multiple awards.

With nearly two decades of experience in the technology sector, Joseph Vartuli leads the engineering and development of CreditorWatch’s premier credit management and risk tools. The number of people in the engineering team has increased 20-fold since he joined in 2018, and his work now informs some of the most influential business leaders and policymakers in the country, including the Federal Treasury and many ASX-listed companies.
Obtaining his bachelor and honours degree in information technology from the University of Sydney, Varuli has lead high-performing teams to deliver some of the most cutting-edge technology projects in the country, including the Federal Treasury and many ASX-listed companies.

Matt Jackson is the chief commercial officer at CreditorWatch and has been in the business for 13 years. He is accountable for all sales, go-to-market, revenue, and margin generation. The commercial organisation is divided across four key segments, selling to businesses that range in size from small sole traders to global entities. Under his leadership, CreditorWatch’s high-performing sales and go-to-market team has grown to over 125 employees.
Jackson is passionate about building and leading world-class teams that share a positive attitude, a customer focus, and a commitment to continuous improvement. He completed a Master of Commerce (USYD) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Joining CreditorWatch in 2021, Fiona Crawford is the chief people and culture officer. Since that time, she has delivered HR initiatives that are innovative, agile and data-driven, and which drive measurable ROI.
With over 25 years in human resources, training and coaching experience across a broad range of industries, her collaborative leadership style, along with strong commercial acumen and evidence-based approach to HR ensures she is an influential and effective member of the leadership team.
Crawford uses her elite sporting background – she’s a two-time medal-winning Olympian in softball – to instil a culture of high-performance, continuous improvement and one that proudly celebrates success.

Paul MacDonald is responsible for developing and executing Symcor’s market-driven technology strategy and managing the technical support and core application teams. He began working with Symcor as a consultant in 2015 before being appointed to his current position in 2016.
MacDonald has extensive experience as a business and information technology executive from his time as senior vice president and chief information officer at Farm Credit Canada, and vice president at Ipsos-Reid.

Saba Shariff oversees multiple teams responsible for designing and launching innovative products that address industry-wide challenges, along with a mandate for charting Symcor’s corporate strategy towards continued growth. Saba joined Symcor in 2002 and held progressive senior positions thereafter.
Prior to joining Symcor, she had previous experience in both start-ups and telecommunications. Named as one of Canada’s Top 50 Women in Fintech in Canada, Shariff is a sought-after public speaker who shares insights on topics such as open banking, innovation, and women in technology in the Canadian financial industry.

Elisabeth Demone oversees the company’s legal, contractual, and regulatory functions in addition to guiding governance matters as secretary to the board of directors. She joined Symcor in 2010, holding progressively senior positions.
Prior to joining Symcor, Demone worked at John Deere Credit and Stikeman Elliott LLP. She earned her LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. She previously served as a director on the board of the Canadian Technology Law Association.

Dan Draper was appointed group chief underwriting officer in September 2022. He had previously served for more than two years as group head of underwriting at AXIS. Prior to that, he had been group chief risk and actuarial officer at VIBE. Before joining VIBE, Draper spent eight years with AXIS, holding a number of leadership roles that included group chief actuary, chief risk analytics officer, and insurance segment chief risk officer. Before that, he held managerial positions at the Financial Services Authority, XL Capital, and EY.
