From a young age, Marianne Passafaro always knew she wanted to work in human resources. She was instantly attracted to the people side of HR and the process of understanding the dynamics of workplaces and its impact on people’s lives. Over the last 15 years, she has worked across the software/technology industry in global and Australian organisations supporting APAC mainly across generalist roles with a focus on talent acquisition, people and culture, leadership and talent development.
For seven years, Passafaro has been working at hipages Group with the aim of transforming the trade industry by creating better lives for everyone. For her, it has been amazing to be a part of a purpose-driven business that truly supports the team to push boundaries and continues to invest in its people and culture, which enables the workforce to be at the forefront of innovation in their industry. Hence, hipages Group was recognised as Australia’s Best Place to Work for two years in a row in 2021 and 2022.
Passafaro has been able to bring her experience to life by creating success for her team, achieving excellent and consistent levels of employee engagement and retention, as well as employer branding, leadership success and talent attraction. She considers herself a curious, genuine, values- and results-driven leader who is passionate about developing people within HR to ensure everyone continues to succeed as they advance their careers. In 2023, her team looks forward to a big year of great strategic initiatives. Passafaro is excited to work with and influence the most valuable asset that companies have: their people.
Over the past two years, she has loved the balance between parenthood and work. She also enjoys travel and great food, socialising, and spending as much time as possible with her son to watch him grow and develop.
