Daneal Charney has had a front-row view of some of Canada’s most ambitious high-growth technology companies, particularly during her time as an executive in residence at MaRS. She worked with hundreds of B2B SaaS companies, from seed stage through to exit, helping founders and leadership teams navigate the challenges of scaling, including people, performance, and leadership.
Before joining MaRS, Charney built her career across multinational organizations, including Intel and Aviva Canada/UK, as well as high-growth technology companies such as NexJ Systems, WireIE, and Muse. This combination of hands-on operating and advisory experience enables her to turn leadership theory into practical action. Today, she works with founders, executives, and high-potential leaders to build the habits, systems, and leadership capabilities needed to scale successfully.
Charney was named Top 100 HR Influencers in the leadership category (2026) and was named Best Service Provider in the SME Category by KMI Media. She is also a regular contributor to The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, and HR Reporter. She is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and Conflict Resolution Coach and has designed and delivered leadership programs for institutions including Western University, the University of Waterloo, and Schulich Executive Education. She also co-created Schulich’s Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring.
