“We have a diverse and talented group that works closely with our business leaders to ensure we understand and align our strategies accordingly,” Nathan Cloet.
One unique area in which the HR team has excelled is implementing specific people-related initiatives on a pilot-project basis, sometimes on more minor scales or only in one area of the business, to better understand an initiative’s impact and prove the concept.
“We understand that projects may not always be as successful as initially hoped. However, this method is a powerful learning opportunity and allows us to focus on data-driven decision-making,” Nathan Cloet.
Agnico Eagle also conducts an annual employee engagement survey to measure employee satisfaction, which has seen improvement across the board year-over-year. This essential tool enables employees to offer direct feedback about their challenges and suggest ideas for achieving company goals, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace for all.
Looking ahead, the award-winning HR innovators anticipate talent acquisition and being talent-ready will continue to be the core focus over the next decade, based on the growth potential for mining and similar industries across Canada.
With its steadfast commitment to approaching these challenges through an innovative lens, Agnico Eagle is poised to redefine HR excellence and pave the way toward a sustainable and prosperous future.
