Rose Powell is an award-winning people & culture executive with more than 20 years’ experience shaping high-performing organisations across the FMCG, NGO, media and government sectors. Armed with an MBA (with distinction) in international business and HR management, Powell brings a strong commercial and global lens to every transformation she supports.
As GM, People and Capability at Vitaco Health Group , she plays a pivotal role in delivering the trans-Tasman people strategy for a fast-growing, multi-site FMCG business. She has been instrumental in digital transformation, workforce design and building constructive union relationships through a period of double-digit growth and private-equity ownership.
Earlier in her career, Powell delivered major cultural and structural change at Auckland Museum, achieving union, iwi, and volunteer alignment and winning NZ National Wellbeing Awards. At AUT University, she strengthened pay-performance linkages, built academic leadership capability, and delivered the resourcing strategy for its South Auckland campus.
A recipient of the HRD 5-Star Employer of Choice Award, Powell is recognised for embedding data-driven OD solutions, building leadership pipelines and creating empowered, accountable cultures that enable sustainable organisational growth.

A significant part of his focus today is staying ahead of regulatory change while maintaining a seamless client experience. He tracks updates from regulators and lenders closely and works with his teams to adjust systems as needed.
“My approach to my role and my career has always been rooted in passion, focus, and a relentless pursuit of excellence,” he says. “I’ve never been driven solely by profit or business metrics. I believe in hiring great talent, trusting them, and pushing boundaries because innovation doesn’t come from playing it safe.”
His experience isn’t limited to Canada. Ibrahim has worked in the US and UAE, which shaped his global perspective and comfort with adapting to different markets. He thrives on risk, viewing setbacks as stepping stones to progress.
