As human resources director, Tracey McPherson leads the way in implementing Kuehne+Nagel Australia’s strategic vision from a Human Resources perspective. She oversees talent acquisition efforts, and steers professional development initiatives to further maximise employees’ potential.
Boasting a career timeline across four decades, McPherson brings with her an invaluable wealth of experiences in human resource management, corporate communications, and administration, accumulated prior to joining Kuehne+Nagel in 2018.
First working with National Australia Bank from 1983 to 1988 as a team supervisor, McPherson then joined BASF in 1988. There, she had a highly successful career which culminated in her role as head of HR in Australia and New Zealand. While with BASF, her team achieved a finalist position in the 2013 Australian HR Team of the Year Awards – a testament to her professional excellence.She is a graduate of The University of Swinburne in Strategic Human Resources Management (2000) and the Melbourne Mt. Eliza Business School in HR Business Leadership (2008).
A passionate professional, McPherson is a member of the Australian Human Resources Directors Forum, Australian Human Resources Institute, and an internationally accredited coach with the International Coaching Federation (2014), completing the Australian Company Director’s Course (2018) and accredited Executive Coach by Korn Ferry (2021, 2022).
In addition to her HRD role since 2023 she has been the Country Lead for Sustainability and Employee ESG initiatives.

A significant part of his focus today is staying ahead of regulatory change while maintaining a seamless client experience. He tracks updates from regulators and lenders closely and works with his teams to adjust systems as needed.
“My approach to my role and my career has always been rooted in passion, focus, and a relentless pursuit of excellence,” he says. “I’ve never been driven solely by profit or business metrics. I believe in hiring great talent, trusting them, and pushing boundaries because innovation doesn’t come from playing it safe.”
His experience isn’t limited to Canada. Ibrahim has worked in the US and UAE, which shaped his global perspective and comfort with adapting to different markets. He thrives on risk, viewing setbacks as stepping stones to progress.
