Claire Bourne is a strategic people leader with a unique blend of HR technical expertise, executive leadership experience, and a future-focused approach at the intersection of HR and technology.
As Head of People for Citycare Property, she oversees a national team of eight, supporting 900 employees across 10 locations in a fast-paced, unionised environment. Claire is passionate about pragmatic, outcome-driven change and is committed to enhancing both the employee experience and business effectiveness. Her specialist expertise in DE&I and the application of Te Ao Māori principles in business have proven invaluable to the organisations she leads in.
With a governance lens, Claire brings strong capabilities in risk management and financial oversight, serving as chair of St Mark’s School and an Executive Committee member for the Chartered Governance Institute NZ’s Women on Boards. She has also held governance roles on the boards of the Graeme Dingle Foundation Canterbury and chair of The Period Place.
